About Swimbotanical
Hi, my name is Jacqui-Lou and I am the creator behind Swim Botanical beachwear shop.
Every piece of swimwear has been individually hand sewn in the U.K. & the bold floral prints are all created by myself. My designs usually start as a water colour painting, a doodle or from something I've captured in a photograph which I then turn into a seamless repeat for fabrics. You will notice I'm a little bit obsessed with floral's & bright colours as this is what I do best.
Since I was a little girl I have always loved creating pattern designs & had lots of encouragement from my Mother who is also an artist. Growing up in Cheshire and on my families dairy farm, nature is my main inspiration for my patterns.
In 2019 Jacqui-Lou.Designs was created and I have been selling my prints and other creations through various online stores (spoonflower & etsy, to name a few). I have always dreamt of having my own clothing brand & Swim-Botanical seemed to be the perfect creation for my designs. I am not a professionally trained sewist but I have been lucky enough to have an amazing Nana who spent a lot of time teaching me. She taught me to sew skirts and dresses & was the inspiration l needed to turn my swim wear dream into reality.
My swimwear fabrics are all printed in the UK. I only order a couple of meters of each print at a time to allow more choice & also keep things fresh. Most pieces are reversible and seamless as I sew each piece inside out and finish with a little hand sewing.
I hold small quantities of ready to wear items that can be shipped within 2-3 working days. Most pieces in the ready to buy section are size medium as my sizes are quite versatile, especially the Maxine and
Any which way top as they can be tied in various ways.

Sizes available are small, medium and large.
Don't forget to let me know your cup size and height
as this can alter the size you should go for.
Please note the Bikini tops do not have underwire.
The active Lycra fabric used for my swimwear is a 4 way stretch active Lycra (80% polyester 20% elastic) which stretches with your body.
I also use a special swimwear elastic that is suitable for chlorine and salt water.
